Again, my love of old sheds comes out. This one is more personal though – and I took this over 4 years ago.
I grew up on a beautiful 6 1/2acre farm that was wedged between two massive farms.
We had sheep, cows, chooks, turkeys (*shudder!*), peacocks, cats, a dog and a pony (not to forget the many injured birds we nursed back to health in our hot water cupboard).
We had a little creek (although Matthew calls it a ‘stream’) running through our place, with amazing silver birches surrounding it.
In one of the back corners, my Grandad kept his beehives and his own little shed for his gear (not the one in this photo though).
And in another corner we had a miniature stock yards attached to a little hay shed – this little hay shed.
It’s a beautiful place to be able to go back to and listen to the rustling leaves, the musical water and lie in the long grass.
